A Human and Inspiring Project
The Epilepsy Ambassador Project spotlights people who, each in their own way, live with epilepsy or support a loved one on a daily basis.
Through their words, experiences, and commitment, these ambassadors help break down taboos, humanize the reality of epilepsy, and strengthen the sense of belonging within the community.
Through this project, we want to remind people that epilepsy is a part of many people’s lives and that, above all, there is a person behind every diagnosis.
Our ambassadors play an active role in changing perceptions of epilepsy and in reminding people that no one has to face this reality alone.

Your story—whatever it may be—is valuable. Whether you’ve been living with epilepsy for decades or are supporting a loved one on a daily basis, your perspective matters.
Our ambassadors come from all walks of life, of all ages, and from all regions of Quebec. What unites them: the courage to speak out.

Who can become an ambassador?
Any person may be considered if they:
- Lives with epilepsy, regardless of the type or severity
- Lives in Quebec
- Freely agrees to share their story and photo on the Épilepsie Montérégie website and social media platforms
- Is available to review their profile before publication
There is no typical profile. Every background is valuable.
How can I participate?

How is the selection made?
Usually, one person is featured each month. The selection process is conducted as a team, based on the diversity of the candidates’ profiles and the number of applications received.
What if my application isn't accepted right away?
Not being selected in a given month does not mean you have been rejected. Applications are retained and reviewed periodically. Only selected candidates will be contacted.
Épilepsie Montérégie is committed to handling every application with care, consideration, and respect—because every story entrusted to us is valuable.
Final Decision
The final decision rests with Épilepsie Montérégie. The organization may defer or reject an application without providing an individual justification, in accordance with its values, its mission, and the diversity of the stories it wishes to highlight.
This right to select candidates in no way diminishes the value of those who apply.
Consent and Privacy
Participation is voluntary. The selected individual must confirm their registration form, provide written consent, and may request that their profile be removed at any time.
No personal information is shared without explicit consent. Épilepsie Montérégie is committed to respecting the privacy of everyone involved in the project.
